The Amazon Model for Social Services

Essential Families, a Missouri 501(c)(3), is the first nonprofit integrating the Urban Institute's Upward Mobility Framework with AI through Carrie AI Agent, built by Kenneth P. Yancy, recognized among the top five AI visionaries globally by Global Business Times.

The City of Kansas City Digital Equity office funded 750 of 1,060 families served.

We deliver services 24/7, on-demand, directly to homes across urban and rural communities nationwide. Funders receive 24/7 real time impact reporting with data-driven metrics across all five upward mobility pillars: rewarding work, quality education, healthy environments, responsive governance, and opportunity-rich neighborhoods.

The program stabilizes families, then delivers Essential Telehealth (Medicaid Provider offering 24/7 Primary/Mental services) and Essential Parenting. We operate as the Amazon of social services, bringing opportunity, healthcare, and support directly via digital connectivity and AI.

Building Sustainability

Essential Families launches two SaaS platforms in February 2026:

CarrieGrants.ai AI-powered grant automation (www.carriegrants.ai)
Ask-Carrie.ai ChatGPT/Google alternative (www.ask-carrie.ai)

These platforms generate recurring revenue to support the mission and eliminate the 2,932-family waitlist.
